voluntaryassisteddying - Liberal Democrats

voluntaryassisteddying

Those who are terminally ill and have no chance of living out their days in a comfortable manner should have access to voluntary assisted dying. There are some who will argue for the sanctity of life and that voluntary assisted dying for the terminally ill is a slippery slope to state euthanasia. However, as we can see from countries like Switzerland there are safeguards that can be put in place to ensure the power over one’s own life remains in the hands of the individual.

The Liberal Democrats believe that if an individual is dying and their last days will be nothing put undignified suffering, they should be able to request help in dying.

It’s time to bring dying with dignity to NSW, sign if you agree.
