Recently, there has been a lot of focus on the right to self-defence in Australia. Did you know that Australians cannot carry the means to protect themselves, like pepper spray or tasers?
Each state imposes hefty penalties for carrying non-lethal weapons while far more lethal weapons, such as knives and bats, are readily avaliable for anyone to purchase.
It's time to decriminalise non-lethal self-defence items so Australians can defend themselves and avoid becoming the victims of criminal assault and government indifference.
