Notice of Annual General Meeting
We advise all NSW members that the NSW State Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday, August 22nd from 2 – 4pm. Due to the current NSW government restrictions, the National Executive has authorised this event to be held digitally.
This year, we have a great line up of speakers including Councillor Sam Gunning who will be discussing his fight for freedom in North Sydney. Victorian MLC Tim Quilty and his plans for a second federation. Dean McCrae, candidate for Eden-Monaro, who will be revealing his plans to continue the fight for regional NSW and former Senator David Leyonhjelm on the state of liberty in NSW.
The State Executive will also be outlining its plans to grow the party over the next 12 months and of course our strategy for the now delayed NSW Local Government Elections.
This AGM will also allow financial members to have their say on how the party is run by electing five positions for the state executive.
Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, the National Executive has authorised the use of digital voting.
If you with to run for a position on the State Executive, please email state secretary Anthony Rebase on [email protected] by Sunday, August 16th 2020.
Each candidate must give a three minute presentation on why they should be on the state executive.
To be eligible to run for a position on the NSW State Executive:
- You must of hold financial membership for two years, or be granted an exemption by the NSW State Executive.
To be eligible to vote:
- You must be a current financial member
Please keep in mind that there is a time commitment to being on the state executive. One executive meeting per month plus tasks to be completed.
