It's time to legalise vaping
For some reason, the government doesn't like vaping. Both federal and state governments have adopted pretty tough measures to stop people vaping. The federal Health Minister Greg Hunt adopted a "not on my watch" stance while the West Australian government will fine you up to $45,000 if you are caught with nicotine for vaping.
It's almost like they want people to smoke cigarettes where they can take heaps of tax off them instead of allowing them to move to vaping where they aren't exposed to over 4000 toxic chemicals.
The Liberal Democrats believe in choice. If you want to vape, you should be able to. Our federal member Senator David Leyonhjelm is leading his crossbench allies to block all health bills until Greg Hunt considers allowing vaping. Our West Australian member, Aaron Stonehouse MLC is an advocate for change and wants to see an end to vaping bans in Western Australia.
