To discourage people from driving, the state government is enforcing ridiculous parking space fees. The state government believes that people, not the state’s infrastructure is the problem in Sydney. Already people who live in Sydney’s CBD and North Sydney CBD face a choice of paying $2390 for the privilege of owning a car or pay for public transport. Areas such as Bondi Junction, Chatswood, St Leonards and Parramatta, you car owners are forced to pay up to $850 dollars a year. Sydney does have a traffic problem, but it should not be solved by enforcing outrageous costs on citizens just to own a car.
